Incapsula: The Web Shield That Grew Up and Became Imperva

Type incapsula.com into your browser and something interesting happens - you land on Imperva's site instead. That's not a glitch. Incapsula started life as a cloud-based security service, the kind that sits between your website and the wild internet, swatting away DDoS attacks and shady bots before they ever reach your servers. It got so good at the job that Imperva, its parent company, folded the whole thing into its own brand. The name lives on mostly in old bookmarks and support docs.

These days the page you actually see is Imperva's home turf. Big promises up top about protecting applications, APIs, and data wherever they live - cloud, on-prem, hybrid, take your pick. Scroll a bit and you'll hit product blurbs for the Web Application Firewall, DDoS protection, and bot management (the old Incapsula DNA is obvious here). There are customer logos, analyst badges, links to free trials and demos, plus a resource library stuffed with reports and webinars. Standard enterprise security pitch, but polished.
